Advanced Fender G3 Curvature Continuity

My top students are curently modeling this G3 rear Fender,

using a technique where only the top hulls on the 2 parent srfs. have curvature continuity. The rear sidewall surfaces is then direct modeled to create; A) more acceleration 

B) to pull out the surface towards the radial wheel arch flange, creating lead-in for the G3 curvature parent to eyebrow

Also it means that the rear sidewall patch has less tension and is more controlled making it easier to create the corner blend
